Our Town

This Gravity Project imagined this treasured text as a meditation on space, timeless motion, and a cinematic soundscape. This work emerged through an immersive collaboration with scenic Randy Ward and  lighting designer John Ambrosone so rich that it felt as if we were all directing this piece.  Much of Andy’s work emerges from Randy and John’s mastery in developing space that affords resonant human interaction, and results in clear imagery. In these images you will see a white sweeping ramp, but what you won’t see are the two moving wagons upstage of the ramp’s threshold weaving worlds of the town’s ongoing daily life with characters floating through the background of our lives. The space is a horizon of thresholds defining the different layers of time as we move through life. Time at once immediate and eternal.
